Art Mold manufactures steel mold accessories for its clients in Europe. The major challenge for their new building was to pack 4,000 m2 of production area, 700 m2 of office space and 800 m2 of technical spaces on a 4,000 m2 plot. The production area is split on two levels; the basement is accessed via a ramp from the main road and houses material storage and the initial phase of production. The ground level production area is where CNC machining takes place and is kept to 20-23°C throughout the year to keep manufacturing tolerance within 3µ. The two storey production facility is a concrete structure with a steel roof, designed to minimize vibrations.

The office block is a linear structure facing the main road. The entrance foyer provides views and entry to the production floor while technical and support spaces create a buffer zone between the production area and the offices. The first floor of the office block connects to a gallery level in the production hall where a dining hall and social area are located.
